The Cottages on Charleston Harbor Review

The Cottages on Charleston Harbor

Thinking of visiting Charleston, South Carolina? You’re not alone. Charleston just keeps rolling in the awards. Most recently they were declared one of the friendliest towns in the world. They have also been voted the Number One City in the USA by readers of Conde’ Nast Traveler for three years running.

The holy city has no shortage of fabulous places to stay, but if you are bringing the family, want to stay in style and comfort, I have the perfect hotel for you. The Cottages on Charleston Harbor are just 10 minutes from downtown Charleston; home to a mega hot foodie scene, charming architecture and world class shopping. The Cottages are little slices of heaven just across the bridge with water views, southern porches and plenty of space for families.

With only ten cottages, this charming boutique hotel delivers spot on perfect service. From the welcome gift of pimiento cheese and biscuits to the Thyme bath products and Forte teas, not a detail is missed.

The cottages offer plenty of space for families, the living rooms are large and well decorated. Both bedrooms are well appointed and the full kitchen is a life saver when traveling with little ones.

Tucked behind Patriot’s Point, the cottages sit on the Charleston Harbor with cool summer breezes and relaxing water views. Each patio has plush rocking chairs and a hammock perfectly designed for an afternoon nap. Cottages either overlook the harbor or a private lagoon.

After a hot day taking a carriage ride in town or carrying your shopping bags down King Street a dip in the hotel pool is a serious treat. Not many city hotels have pools, and certainly not with these views. Complimentary breakfast is served each morning by the pool also.

All this hospitality and space can be had for around $450-$550 per night based on availability. Luxury AND a great price.

We were the guests of The Cottages for review purposes. We obviously love Charleston as we have a summer home on nearby Kiawah Island. Flytographer treated us to a complimentary photo session, more photos and stories about Charleston to come.
