Headed to London and wondering where to stay? Keaton and I recently reviewed the new Apartments by the Sloane Club on Sloane Square. They are perfectly located, perfectly decorated and the perfect size for even a large family (that likes to snuggle). When we recently traveled to London as a family Mr. LTM rented us an apartment, I was trying to “let go” and “be flexible”. I wish he had booked the Sloane Club.
Location, Location, Location:
The Apartments by the Sloane Club are conveniently located on the quiet residential street of Sloane Gardens in the most gorgeous old red brick buildings. You can walk from your front door to the Tube, shop at Peter Jones or get your hair done at Duchess Kate’s hair salon, the Richard Ward salon. We took Macie there before she was a Duchess, I wonder if we could still get an appointment.
The Rooms:
They have studio, one and two bedroom apartments. All are fully serviced and beautifully decorated. They start at 220 pounds with a seven night minimum. I would happily stay there for a month.
The Amenities:
In addition to a spacious living room, you have a full kitchen with Nespresso machine (this is key). The 24 hour concierge is on hand to meet any need, including booking a chef if you so desire. The bathrooms were petite but well stocked with L’Occitane products. The welcome champagne was a bonus.
Mary Poppins Included:
Well, sort of. One of the brilliant services offered by the Apartments is access to the Norland Nannies. I did not have the opportunity to hire a nanny and review the agency but their credentials are impressive, they’ve only been at this for 120 years. When we visited as a family in the “other” apartments I had to source childcare on my own so that my husband and I could spend the day at Wimbledon. I ended up with a rather random agency and though all went well, I was nervous the entire day. When staying at The Apartments by the Sloane Club you can hire a nanny for a night or for a long assignment. The hourly rates are reasonable and they can order your children dinner from the Sloane Club.
We were hosted for review purposes. I would pay the full price every day and twice on Sunday for this property. It is a perfect fit for a smaller family. I would have crammed my 3 boys in the second room and let our teenage girl sleep in the living room for the luxury and convenience these apartments offered.
